Not Luxury

The good: I really enjoyed the restaurant and bar. They definitely spruced up these areas, and the food was good. I enjoyed the staff; they were funny and very friendly. The bad: the hotel. They obviously did not spend much money on improving the hotel/motel. This looks like it was a motel at one time, and the rooms still seem like it. There was no garbage can, remote control, hangers, or blow dryer in my room. That is a far cry from luxury. There was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom. I got a very rude call from the front desk one morning telling me that I had to leave because check out time passed, yet I had one night remaining with my stay. The attitude of this person almost made me leave that day. If you are looking for a motel six type of room close to a fun bar so you don't have to drink and drive, then this is fine for you. If you are looking for a luxurious place, then look elsewhere.

more like the painted pig

luxury and the flamingo resort should never be used in the same sentence or even in the same thought. bartenders are very unfriendly and unattentive, rather they are busy or slow all they want to do is stand around and talk to off duty employees and bitch and brag how hard they work and how many hours they work. if you are lucky they will look back at you and give you a thumbs up and return to their 'friends' rather you need a drink or no too damn lazy and conceited even to walk over to you and ask. they never thank you for a tip unless you are in the process of filling out the credit card slip then they seem appreciative hoping that you don't ignore the tip spot on the slip. my friend had to call for pillows for his room and they never did give him bedspreads for his bed... just sheets. they owners weren't even friendly never saw them greet or welcome anyone to their resort bad attitudes all around. the bar was too bright and one big room it was like standing in a garage that was completely decorated with IKEA furniture and fixtures... this place is the proverbial pig with lipstick don't waste your time or money, i get better treatment and better service in straight resorts and a clean mattress and the proper accomodation that I AM PAYING for. if you do choose to stay here, all i can say is good luck i stayed several nights and was there from day one and it sucked busy or slow it was awwful and the more people i meet that have been they seem to be reporting the same bad service and dissappointment....... i will NEVER go back or reccomend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
