Think ill wait till these get better

sounds like they took the old wore out tvs from suncost. they needed to be in a dumpster. service was about the same at suncost. took a little doing to get a drink. service is were the money is to bring people back for more an keep the money coming in. I was going to try this place but think ill wait see if they fix the complaints Im reading about. and it sounds stupid you cant order a drink and walk around and injoy it. If I got to stay in my room ill stay in my room at home. save my money. ill keep a check on these post to see if they get better before a check in to this place.

Stayed here for three nights and...

...while the rooms are nice, they are overpriced considering that there is never anyone at the bar. All three nights, including friday and theme nights, the bar had maybe six people (and not quality people) The restaurant has really good food and at nice prices, but the restaurant is seperated from the bar, so you have to fight and beg for a waiter. The staff was friendly, but I was hoping for a place where I could have a great time at a bar and not have to drive...this was not it...don't expect Prliment House or Habana Inn, because this place is neither...

Nothing else like it in the area.

Been here a couple of Sundays and have always had fun. Its very unlike anything else in the area (outside Tiki bar, nice pool, nicely done inside as well). Perfect way to end a beach day. IMO the best part is all the out of towners - everytime I go with friends its fun getting to meet people that come for vacation and definitely opens up.. "oppourtunities" that I usually wouldn't consider (and Im not a slut) :). As long as it stays clean (which it is) and doesn't turn into a P-House or Suncoast - it'll continue to be a great place. Oh, and they have a full menu with surprisingly good food. The only complaint? No frozen cocktails :(

It's not the Howard Johnson, any more.

Had a chance to catch the food/Inside bar, 1st went in during the cold snap...Food was good, and the bar had friendly locals (I use to have an old BF, on that side of town), so I remember the ups/downs of the area...cleaner than Parliment House-Orlando, which really showing it's age! (even saw a room, that was being cleaned-CLEAN & REMODELED)

flamingo

I dont understand prior post concerning posting positive comment to support the resort. I would rather be honest and not lie and spoil peoples holiday. The Flamingo, though needed, is not a nice place. Its on the same level as the former Suncoast. Its dirty. Staff is kind, but lacking service skills. I will not return.
