Enough of the Bashing

I have been going to the Pro Shop on and off for four years and have NEVER seen a fight, argument or uncomfortable situation. The staff across the board has been attentive to custiomer safety and discretion. In fact I have seen several people ejected or prohibited from entering as a precaution..... That being said, there has been change of staff for the better and the atmosphere is much more relaxed and friendly.... Have an open mind and give the place a shot... you will have more fun there, than home alone...

Do not waste time and money

Almost no one here except a few very elderly sustance abusers who hate themselves for being gay. It is a very pathetic scene but they make money so it goes on with anyone just looking in maybe being abused if you turn them down. If you want to know what it is like: think of three bums laying in the street, dirty and with cigarettes and stink. Now think of them sitting in this bar every afternoon and the place never properly aired out. It gets very few tourists as word has gotten around.

Smokey dive bar to be avoided

I agree with reviewer sassoondenver further down. The owner likes to say she serves the community. Get real. Getting rich and pushing legal drugs isn't serving the community. Even a bartender states he is DUI. Not funny. Although I have found a few people friendly, no one is the type I really want to know here. And, lets face the truth, some of these guys are just plain nasty when drunk , can't deal with their own homosexuality and bitter over failure in life. Its like a time warp but very low class. Makes a homeless shelter seem upscale. A friend said it best "YOU WILL NEVER MEET ANYONE WORTHWHILE IN THAT HOLE". The last time I went there, there was a fight going on involving a man in a wheelchair screaming curses. Too bad. Clearwater needs a good place but this isn't it. I consider this place more anti-gay than gay and the fights and homophobic abuse from drunks there show that. I never went during underwear night but considering the clientele, I would chant "Put it on" not "take it off"

Ok, but no real customers other than the regular drunk old guys

I have been to this bar several times. The bar tenders are great, and serve a great drink. The atmosphere is not so great. You are def hit on by every old drunk in the neighbor hood. I have seen a few fights, and none really that need to happen. If the bar staff pay attention and get rid of the people that may make trouble you could avoid the fights. However the people that fight, buy more drinks, and it seems as long as your getting drunk they keep you in the bar. They have no concern over you leaving the place drunk. Clearwater is def. not the place to drive drunk, and this is not the neighborhood to be out walking drunk. So not really a great place at all.

From a customer not an employee

This is a stale straight owned place seeking to make money off the gay community. They serve drunks who drive. The "regulars" consist of old queens who have been closet cases for 75 years and gossip about anyone who walks by and rejects them
